Подключение сетевого принтера HP LaserJet P1606dn

Перед началом установки выполните следующее:

Подключите витую пару категории 5 к свободному порту концентратора или маршрутизатора Ethernet .

Подключите витую пару к порту Ethernet на задней панели устройства.

Проверьте, что загорелся один из индикаторов сети (10 или 100), расположенных сзади принтера.

Чтобы определить адрес IP , распечатайте страницу конфигурации

(в режиме готовности нажмите на кнопку с изображением страницы со стрелкой и удерживайте до мигания индикатора готовности).

Откройте Web -браузер на компьютере.
В окне Web -браузера введите адрес IP устройства.

В разделе Работа в сети вы увидите автоматически назначенный IP адрес и имя хоста.

Если вы хотите установить другие значения, то можно это сделать по протоколу DHCP , настроив ваш сетевой роутер. Вам нужен аппаратный адрес ( MAC -адрес) принтера, который можно найти на странице конфигурации, либо в разделе Информация в браузере

Значение MAC -адреса будет определяющим для выдачи IP -адреса и названия, например выделим 192.168.0.51 и название LaserJetP1606 (пробелы лучше не использовать).

Перегрузив принтер, заходим по новому адресу 192.168.0.51 (можно распечатать страницу конфигурации, чтобы убедиться в правильном назначении по протоколу DHCP )

На этом шаге вы настроили сетевой принтер, который находится в вашей сети и может быть установлен на любой компьютер вашей сети.

Если операционная система компьютера Windows , то выберете вкладку HP Smart Install . Нажать кнопку Загрузить . Для завершения установки устройства выполните инструкции на экране.

Если операционная система MAC OS , то просто установите принтер через Системные настройки (поддержка Bonjour в Web -сервере принтера должна быть включена).

Дополнение:
Для просмотра или изменения параметров IP -конфигурации пользуйтесь встроенным Web -сервером. IP адрес устройства может быть задан вручную или назначен автоматически при помощи протоколов DHCP , BootP или AutoIP .
При необходимости настройки скорости соединения используйте вкладку Работа в сети встроенного Web -сервера.
Неправильное изменение скорости соединения может привести к нарушению связи между принтером и другими сетевыми устройствами. В большинстве случаев устройство следует оставить в автоматическом режиме. При изменении настроек может произойти выключение и включение устройства. Выполняйте изменения настроек только тогда, когда устройство не используется.

HP Smart Install в проводной сети

При использовании компакт-диска для установки программного обеспечения

можно выбирать простую (рекомендуется) или расширенную (будет предложено принять или
изменить параметры по умолчанию) установку.

Вставьте установочный компакт-диск с программным обеспечением в устройство чтения
компакт-дисков компьютера.

Если программа установки не откроется автоматически, просмотрите содержимое компакт
диска и запустите файл SETUP.EXE.

В процессе настройки устройства и установки программного обеспечения следуйте
инструкциям, отображаемым на экране.

При появлении запроса выберите Настройка на печать через сеть.

factory reset p1606dn

ip address = all 0’s and dhcp set to manuel after factory reset. cannot connect to printer to configure or print. usb works fine.

In order for me to assist you better, I may require more information.

• What was reset to factory defaults, the router or printer?

You mentioned, «dhcp set to manuel». Does this mean that you have a static IP address for the printer? What is the IP address you’re assigning the printer?

• If the printer is not obtaining an IP address, you might be experiencing an IP address conflict. It is a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address, outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers DHCP default range is 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232, etc.

If you were referring to the router, not the printer try restoring defaults on the printer.

Turn the product on, and while it is initializing press and hold the GO & JOB CANCEL button while powering on printer. After all the LEDs are blinking, release buttons.

HP Laserjet P1606dn need to reset to factory settings

I have printer HP Laserjet P1606dn installed as Network Printer on Windows Server 2008 R2. I set it up with static IP Address. The problem is printer does not work after several days and need to reset to the factory setting and re-setting up again. if it use printer with USB embed to PC, there is no problem with it.

has anybody had similar problem or that can point me at the right direction??

It really sounds like a problem that should be addressed with a firmware update and if that fails an RMA. I have never had any printer not hold it’s settings.

Definately no IP Conflicts?, we have 8 of these printer’s I had this issue at one point.

Priscilla, I never stated that I ever had this issue. I stated I have never seen a printer not hold its settings.

I have this same issue. I reset to factory which wiped the IP config to all zeroes. only problem is that the IP config method is still set to manual. it did not reset to DHCP so now I can’t put an IP address on it.

ah, nevermind. after letting the printer set for 10 minutes it went to DHCP and now it has an IP. weird though after I wiped the config I printed several config page reports and it always said all zeroes for the address info and manual for IP config method.

I had the same thing as BuddyFarr but mine never reverted back. It’s been useless for weeks now.

these forums are for people in need of help or helpful ideas. If you don’t know then just saying it because advising people to update firmware is not always the issue. Firmware is not like a driver that if something goes wrong all you have to do is roll back driver. Sometimes we have to think outside the box and read between the message for clues. for example, If you get a Ip of 0.0.0.0 on a pc then it’s clear there is a IP conflict or just maybe your pc will just tell you of a conflict. Nowadays with people adding not so «Smart devices» like androids or Ipads to a network conflicts can arise because these dumb devices don’t operate like pc’s. everytime your pc slows down or drops internet doesn’t mean go reboot the router. thats how you get IP conflcits from dumb devices like andorids.

The reason why I don’t always blame the firmware is because of other issues that can destroy devices if firmware update fails like memory problems, Line Noise, Dusty hardware overheating, Existing Ground loops and fluctuating voltages are the reason why best buy get piles of good hardware returned dead or still working.

if the printer stops working after a few days and resetting the device allows it to work then look into hardware related issues like corruption of settings or by looking into issues like the Location of the device, Over heating, Ethernet wire shorting out, Have outlet checked for grounding or Neutral wire problems, Over or under voltage of AC power with volt meter, Line noise from heavy machinery on the AC source, follow operating specifications of manufacture for temperature operating conditions eg..Celsius / Fahrenheit or just buy a Uninterrupted power supply system from a store that gives a 30 money back guaranteed just in case its a bad printer hardware failure.

I have a same problem. My printer, HP Laserjet P1606dn, changed its IPv4 address to 0.0.0.0 and i could not contact the printer. Is any of you experts have any idea how to change it to its original factory settings? i really want to get it back to the network so that it could be used on the network.
